Coachella My Fella

The Coachella lineup was just announced...a really long time ago (or a month ago). Although I am going to California soon (to pick up a minivan, strangely enough), it'll be a good month and a half before the festival, so no fun in the sun for me (at least not in the smooshed together with 70,000 other people in hundred degree weather while water costs $3 a bottle variety). But I thought it would be fun (ok, not so fun, but hey) to see how many of the bands in the lineup I've seen before.

Ok, so:
Sigur Ros, Atmosphere, My Morning Jacket, Cat Power, Tool, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, and Sleater-Kinney.
Plus I'll be seeing Clap Your Hands Say Yeah next month.

So that's eight out of ninety-two. That was definitely not the self esteem builder I thought it would be.

Ironically enough, just this past weekend both of last year's headliners, Coldplay and Nine Inch Nails played here in Nebraska. So, I had my own private Coachella (with thousands of other people).
